I'll huck some foamy 3d in the backyard, but its not in my DNA(or comfortable budget) to fly a big dollar 72 inch balsa extra a foot off the ground while rolling in a circle. I'd rather watch the pros. Or chuck a glider up and chase thermals.

i flew it once on 850watts and i pulled up hard after a full speed run, i thought the wings were going to fold, thats why i backed it down to 700. Flies perfect though. It basically the same setup you would run in a 48" Extreme flight plane just with a 800kv Sunnysky motor from EPbuddy turning a 13x6 xoar. Still slows down great i was doing full flaps single float touch and gos on tuesday

Rich, for the last years I have known you, you always spoke so fondly of your glider beginnings... glad to see you getting back to your roots

I am using the 48" Extreme Flight setup on mine running on 4 cell with an 11x7 Xoar prop! Amazing performance! I think it is the torque 820kv motor.

Mine running the Motrofly still is a very light plane and plenty, plenty of power on 4s.

The winds look favorable for the little slope next to the dfc1 runway. I'm gonna take my alula out there today and fly late afternoon.
