I saw soy vodka the other day at the liquor store.

I was kinda P'd about the vodka.

When doc first told me I had to give up Beer & Gluten, I thought "Hey, I love Vodka".
Then he told me no Vodka, I thought "Grape & Potato Vodka (Ciroc & Chopin)"
Then he told me no Vodka again after my most recent surgery...

He told me I am allowed one glass of Gin a night... I dont really like Gin but it is growing on me.
Why Gin? I have no idea...

Why Gin indeed? Classic Gin is made of 75% corn, 15% barley and 10% other grains and nowdays it can be distilled from same things as whiskey and vodka. If the main reason for Gin is corn (no gluten) then the safest drink would be made of pure Ethanol diluted with water to 40%. This recipe is well known in Russia as the best vodka substitute. The Ethanol (the alcohol ingredient in all hard liquor) is distilled from 100% corn, yeast and sugar and is better/safer than vodka because it is cleaner product with less mixed-in derivativs such as isopropyl and methanol and other ethanol "relatives" commonly found in moonshine.

Next time you talk to your doctor ask him about soy vodka. It is completely gluten-free, gin still has some gluten in it. It also has zero carbs. For best infusion recipes you know who to ask
