DFC1 & DFC2. Dunwoody Flying Club
Welcome to the official thread for the Dunwoody Flying Club. We're a laid back group of guys who enjoy all aspects of rc aviation, from small-scale foamies to larger scale planes, 3D and pattern, helicopters and multi's, FPV, and everything else.
We have two (rogue) locations within a few miles of each other: DFC1 has been open and flyable for over 4 years. However recent heavy construction as made it a little less attractive for some. When flying at DFC1, use a spotter and be very mindful of foot and vehicle traffic. http://maps.google.com/?ll=33.892296...00655&t=h&z=18 DFC2 is a relatively new spot and is better suited to smaller foamies, or anything that's not "hot and heavy". Today actually turned out to be a good day to fly mostly. I flew for a few minutes at my spot by the Mall of Georgia before heading to Lowes and then a few packs out front with the 3D foamy. Your spot look pretty good for Dunwoody.

I have been looking for a good place to fly in the Dunwoody area. I am defiantly interested if you want to schedule another outing.

Hhey guys, I definately will schedule another for us. Im flying here about 3 times a week in the afternoon (after 4pm) and any time on the weekends. I am getting married this weekend so no flying for me. Next week for sure.

I live right down the road from there but never attempted to fly there. I've flown where the baseball practice field is down the road, I guess it's part of blackburn park. Let me know when you flying next, I might stop by sometime.
