Hi Jacko,

If interested in 2 turn for 28mm or 36mm MEGA, then might as well get the F5D which is a bit more capable and adds roughly 5 Euro.

Not saying 22/20 size is not capable of reaching 200 since I'm not sure of power or prop size required, BUT it has no chance of comparing against 16/45 or 16/40. Short duration I may opt for 16/35 as a guess versus 22/20E.

22/30E is very capable
There is also 22/25 choice but not sure if it is 5mm shorter or uses 22/30 case.

Any Mega inrunner could be sent back in to get it converted to Q option, thereby having rear mounting possible (like outrunner).

------

Reason I asked about your setup was because I thought you may have the longer 16/30 in there versus 16/25, but I was not sure.

------

How many AMPs can the 1600-1800 size cells with good C rating provide?
.....AND what voltage under load can they maintain by end of nice long and level pass?

Any guesses as far as APC E 5.25X6.25 being big enough size for 200 mph pass on this airframe?

I just put together the Kontronik kpg27 gearbox with a scorpion 2221-8 motor,
test fit it but I could only squeeze in 3s batteries, not 4s and it has made everything very heavy. Not going to bother trying this tomorrow as it is a bit late now.

What batteries were you guys able to squeeze in with the gearbox and was the extra weight a factor ?

Well, on 4S your '-8 can turn just about any prop you can fit to the miniHawk. For reference, I use a RFM 12x17 with my 2221-6/KPG5.2 on 4S at about 140A static.

two times 2S 2200 mAh 45/90 C SLS - watch here than you see how it works - drive also too a 2221 with gearbox.
and the little weight more wasn t a factor.

Mini Hawk - 2x SLS 2S 2200 mAh 45/90 C Lipo im MiniHawk einbauen (0 min 58 sec)

If you can't get one, I have one but I don't live in the US, so shipping might be a problem.

Staufenbiel (www.modellhobby.de) has them. You won't find the stab in the webshop, so send inquiry and order by mail.
