Awesome

Any idea of what you plan to run in it?

Looking at my second one in the box at home and thinking I might need to go nutty with it....

Well I'm open to suggestions on that. I'm going to start with a pylon setup and am looking at the Het 2W-30: 2200 Kv, 130 grams, specs say it's good to 80 amps. The low Kv will give some options for playing around with different cell counts and prop sizes. Does anyone have opinions on a fast F5D setup for this plane? I saw the video above where the guy is hauling a$$ with a Het 1W-30 (4400 Kv) and 5x5 prop but I would much rather use high voltage than high Kv to get those rpms.

Well, I guess I owe you a "thanks" or two, Jacko...
After reading all the good words about this bird and the fact that I already have a brand new fuselage (Got it free from Staufenbiel when they shipped the Mini-Hawk instead of the Hawk F5B when I ordered a new fuse for the latter, and the cost of returning it exceeded the cost of the fuselage (Norway has the most expensive post service in the world)), I have finally ordered the whole schebang....from HK.
I also opted for the Scorpion HK 2221-6 which will be mated to a KPG 5.2:1.
Any suggestions for ESC, prop, spinner and LiPo?

This will be my pocket-rocket-go-to plane and the one I fly when I don't have the time, the guts to air the X or the ...... eh........ - or when I just want to go fly this one

Arcteryxxx - If you want to run it as a half pylon/half hotliner, I highly recommend the RFM 10x16 prop and 4S for your setup. I've got it on the HK 2221-7 (3900kv) and 5:1 GB and it's superb for general sport flying and hooning about. Had about 30 flights on mine so far and loving it. Good thrust for quick bursts to gain altitude and awesome for full throttle downwind dives and longer bursts to keep you on your toes.

I've been to Norway a few times, you also have the most expensive beer in the world as well

Thanx, Tim! Half pylon/half hotliner is my goal exactly
We got other things priced through the roof here as well, but tomorrow is our Independence Day (May 17th) and all is good

I'm using the ICE Lite 100, draws about 80 amps on 4S. You'd be looking at 95ish with the 2221-6.

Flew mine at my new club for the first time this weekend. The plane up before me was a Funjet and was the fastest plane at the club..................but not anymore
I expected some negativity due to the speed but all I had was lot's of positive remarks and a few interested in purchasing one which surprised me. I think I'll buy a spare one!
