Bit of a warning to those cranking big throws -

My elevator wiper popped out of the TE, jamming the elevator full up.

You big joker Jacko! I can tell it's your new fuselage, cuz of the different shape of the cutout in the side air intake. I want one these! Going to see one at Icare this Thursday. He carries it under the Mini Hawk name, with the 48" wingspan (the smaller version).

Time to finally get a little silly with the woteva its called today mini hotliner

800W was feeling a little tame

16/25/2, KPG25 5.2, 6S 1800 (2x3S), ICE 100 lite 14.5x14 RFM slim trimmed to 14" (the absolute biggest diameter that'll fit) on a +5 hub, works out to 21.5" of pitch ~2.5kW guesstimate.

Too get the rear 3S pack in, it has to go through the wing seat area, so that got opened up. Carbon tow will be run around the wingseat, and down the edge of the canopy too the motor mount (this motor on 6S has caused in flight rhinoplasty before...)

Finally found a use for that little lump on the front designed for outrunner wires too...

Jacko,

Suggest you double check your nuts before you fly it!

(Just to be clear, the ones on your prop.)

You're nuts, but I can't wait to see the video

I too opened up the little bump for ventilation and it works pretty well with the ram air effect. Is it right that the air outlet area has to be 3 times that of the inlet for air to flow or it just ends up pressurising the fuselage?

Thats the theory with the air outlet.

Because the Rx and rear lipo literally plug the boom of the wasp now, needed a new speed hole

Progress.. Finally

Carbon tow laid into the fuse, to put and end to the cracking wingseat/rear mount, and to reinforce the nose to handle the 2+ kW

It was about as much fun to get in there, as pulling teeth, and is probably a messier process...

LHS has started stocking some new packs, Horesons, terrible name but I thought Id give em a go.

AUW is 1028grams with 6S(2x3S) 45C 1600, CG is easy to attain (and I can remove the big chunk of lead I had in the tail with the previous setup!). Should be just a tad over 2000W/kg, which will be spritely

With the opened up wing seat, packs go in and out easily.

Its looking good, just gotta solder it all up and cycle the packs
