New Flyzone Albatros

Anyone else seen this yet? Looks like a good little plane. 14.5" wingspan. Tower Hobbies estimates late June.

I know I have been enjoying my Playmate (except it really needs a threaded prop. I had to superglue the prop to the shaft because it kept coming off!)

That looks pretty sweet. I wish I hadn't just told the wife I wasn't buying another plane after the one I just bought

NICE find Drew, that is a very sharp looking plane!

How much is it again? I'd say if its price is comparable to the ERC warbirds (around 60$) I will be getting one! fo shizzle

If its closer to Parkzone BNF ($100) then I will NOT be getting one of these - merk!

Aesthetics are not worth the extra price and won't pay an extra $40 (maybe $50) for a 3ch 2.4 - no more! not economical - long story short this thing better be around 50 to 69.99 - for me to buy!

Let me say this though - that is one of the best looking entry level micros I ever seen! I hope it flies like the HL playmate... and not the PZ cub - what am I talking about it will be slower then both (very good thing) cause its a bipe - man its sweet!!!

uhhggg... $79.99 thats only $10 smackers above what I think is fair for 3ch 2.4...

if it flies very well - it would absolutely be worth the money - we'll see. It would have to be an impulse buy for me to purchase... aeroplane budget getting low... who says we gotta eat?!

I love it when the "serious" micro hobbyists start playing around with (what I call) toy grade 2.4 - Aka tiny inexpensive tx micro RTF!(see playmate, ercwarbirds) - if it comes with a cheap small tx - it belongs here, regardless...

I predict the same level (few dozen) of mods, improvements comparable to the playmate or ERC warbirds i.e. not the hundreds of thousands compared to the suki, p51 or 4site

not to say this plane won't be very very popular - it is gorgeous - but I LOVE that it has a toy 2.4 - that makes it an micro RTF and it also makes "serious" indoor hobby think twice about stepping backwards in technology

heck, I'd think twice if I had to put another brick in it just to use my bulky expensive tx

looks sweet
I would NEVER buy a RTF in this model

Instead, I will install used PZ mustang gear in a $35-40 replacement airframe

I agree with Akwardflyer, sometimes you just want to fly something relaxing. And for me these 3ch micros are ideal to fly out the front of the house, so no packing all your gear up and carting it to the field.
When I got my first 4ch, I thought, "right that's it for me now, no more micros, only bigger 4ch planes from now on". Well I was wrong, I still fly my original Ember1 more than any other plane I've got, and I've got quite a few now.

happy flying

Andy

Ya, the whole "load up the truck-drive to the field-unload the truck-fly-load up the truck-drive home-unload the truck" thing is getting old.

This thing looks very nice for it's size (the dihedral doesn't look too bad either).

It's a great looker and very different..something cool for the summer sun.
Wonder it it'll fly without the top wing.
Could be 4 channeled, but, eagerly looking forward to a flight report anyway.
I'd expect this to do well

Look at the Citabria thread. People were willing to pay $150.00 for a 3ch. $80.00 isn't too bad for a Bi-Plane.
