THE GREAT LAKES MODEL BOAT ASSOCIATION IS HAVING A MODEL EXPO ON JULY 3-4/2010 IN KITCHENER, ONTARIO, CANADA. THE GREAT LAKES MODEL BOAT ASSOCIATION (GLMBA) IS COMPRISED OF CLUBS FROM SOUTH CENTRAL ONTARIO, CANADA AND WESTERN NEW YORK.

THE model expo is a competition that is held every 2-3 years. It is a judged and static event with categories in kit, semi-kit and scratch built categories in naval, working, pleasure, sail, miniature(1/500 etc), racing and submarines. The last event in 200 had over 100 entrants. There will also be awards for Best of Show, Peoples Choice and Best Example of R/C Animation. On the water operations will be done on the city hall pool with narration for the public.

Kitchener is located about 3 hours from the Detoit/Windsor border crossing, 2 hours from Niagara Falls and 1 hour west of Toronto.
