no worries about getting off track Phil. I've been thinking of a Tornado for years. I have plans from an RCM&E magazine from when I was a kid. LOL. in fact, I have ordered a 64mm Tornado from Nitroplanes.  as soon as I knew it was coming out, I had to have it, but I'de love a bigger one though, say 90mm.
Sam, those gear are rock solid and I've seen the Jag take off and land on the grass at RAF Cosford, back in the 80's. if you look at the vid of the Jaguar taking off the motorway, we were standing on the right hand side of that bridge. it was just outside Blackpool in 1977 (I believe). I was about 6 or 7 years old and my dad was working on the Concorde program. he was invited by BAC to watch that event and he took me to see it. it was the coolest thing I've ever seen and it began my love of the Cat. I have always wanted to do a ducted fan/turbine version of the Cat and now it's finally here. it's gonna be a pleasure to see it in the air finally. it'll be in the air for next spring no matter what.
