Well skis are succesfully on. Not sure how well they are gonna work but they are on . Hopefully a few taxi tests and some decent weather on Sunday means some snow fun. Wedge I gotta tell the only foam I had for the back blocks for the spoon trick was some pink foam board so that looks pretty sweet

Ok need an opinion...if I could pick this up for $100 or so would it be worth the time and effort into repairing??

Do you want to go electric or gasser with it? If gasser I guess you might be OK with that gaping cowl...
The body looks fixable.. my Vyper looked like that when it got jacked from a wing tag... I would have wanted to see the inside of the wing but they look servicable.

Of you go electric you are looking at a new cowl too.

$100 (if you can get him there) could be worth it for a beater until you buy a new one :-)

Not sure what a new canopy and cowl cost. By the time you get that thing and fix it, there might be another garage sale with something in that size range with less damage and new for a little more money. I hate repairing so I wouldn't touch that thing.

I think it all depends on if you enjoy repairing. My opinion is that if you're asking us, then you're not sure how hard it would be to repair.

I'm with nick, I wouldn't touch it.

if I was retired, I'd be all over it and do a custom covering job, etc...

Well the canopy i think is definately an issue....throwing a dle 30 on it is tempting so not sure how much of a concern the cowl is. And actually repairing doesn't really scare me. Really sort of would be nice to have a project sitting on the bench and have a good excuse to head to the man cave

Personally, I would never buy someone's crashed plane. Especially over the internet. You really don't have any idea what you are in for in terms of repairs until you see it in person and can look down the inside of the wings and fuse with your own eyes looking for rib damage etc.

Plus, all of the time and money it will take to repair (you may need to buy supplies - covering etc.).

Personally, I create enough planes for my repair queue on my own.

If it was like Rob (hypersprint) where people are giving you the crashed plane then it would be a no-brainer.

Well I got it for less than I was thinking so if nothing else I bought myself some time in the man cave for cheap. I figured I've had a building itch lately and I got the sticks for pretty close to what a kit would cost so I guess thats how I'm figure it.
