With approx. 89.000 visitors, the INTERMODELLBAU in Dortmund is still the biggest model fair in Europe. This year there was even two days of Outdoor Flying in the nearby stadium - covered by videos.

The flight presentation was realy nice.
However it was just some of the big brands that used it rather frequently.
Sorry to be the killjoy but the feedback from the crowd wasn't that joyfull for te rest of the fair. It has been discussed to death in the german forums already and the trend was rather negative.
There is a serious complain about the turn toward a toy fair.
This was especially notable for model aviation.
It moved into a smaller room, but still couldn't occupy the space with aviation. Lots of car and other 4 weel suppies had to fill the voids. I, as a model builder, was feeling displaced among the tons of foamies and koax copters.
The present manufacturers and dealership seemed to be rather local folks only (if you take out the big brands like Robbe/Futaba, Graupner, Multiplex/Hitec). Nothing compared to the at least european range some years ago.
You just need to digest that motor suppliers such as Kontronic and Scorpion Systems were not present.
Hacker was only pesent via other dealers. Did anybody spot Plettenberg ?
Wemotec was missing, so were Daniel Schübelers fans (althought could be I just missed it).
So the fair was run for more than 90% by the big three and some local dealers.
Small manufacturers seemed to missing.
For "Intermodellbau" I had other expectations.
Just my two cent

those kind of discussions are typical for all model fairs nowadays. You can't turn back the time to when there was no internet. You no longer need to go to model fairs to see the latest products and to get "special deals".
The number of those modelers actually building models also has shrunk noticeably. The fairs adapt to the visitors and the older "hard core modelers" may lose out. That's life.

I too am pretty impressed with the Magnum Reloaded. I am going to start a build soon. I have the foam and lots of pictures and some plans.
You can do a search on RC Groups or on youtube for "Magnum Reloaded" and there are several there.
