Thanks Rudes......well took my little EDF40 Jet out today for its maiden flight. Luckily a freind was at the field who is a very experienced pilot and can seem to fly anything , he agreed to fly it for me. After messing about with the elevon mixing we gave her a good chuck into the air and off she went.....!! She needed a tiny bit fo trimming but flew far beyond anything I had imagined, quite fast to. My friend handed the controls to me and I had a small flight before I crashed her.. Not much was broken due to the carbon fibre I had incorporated into the build. Battery was barely warm when the flight finished.
I am so pleased that something I have made totally from scratch flew so well. Thanks for all the very useful advice Ive been offered in this thread it has all been used to produce a model I am very happy with....thanks guys...
I have a very short video clip I will try to upload......

Well done davezoom, it's a great feeling when you get to work out all the problems and get something that really flies well. So very well done you on a really nice piece of development and on a good looking model. Looking forward to the video.
