Mach-1 blingware

I got some work done on the Mach-1 monoblock today, and I thought I would share some more machinist tricks.

This method allows you to make parts in a vise w/o elaborate fixtures.

i'm not exactly sure what you're thinking sam, (although i can guess) but it made me think of the scene in "aliens" where bishop cuts his finger doing the knife trick. is winchdoc actually a bling-making android?

seriously, gorgeous!!

Hey Doc, It looks like this new linkage would lend itself to being a pitcheron set up also . What do you think? Make sure you do a how to when you install yours in your fuse PLEASE. A place to point anyone who gets one to do their own install would be awesome.

You mean like THIS?

Before I permanently glue the block into the Mach-1 fuselage, I did a little bench racing... I found that this low-profilr]e block will fit in all sorts of other and even smaller TWFs...

Sure wish I had a Scepter just to see if it would fit....

xica fuse

The box failed on the way here. It made it here but took on some damage. Its is a good thing it wasnt cherry Doc. This fuse is a oil can . Really light layup to me but that is how Ken did them back then. Looks like I have my work cut out for me on this one. Other than that i like what I see.

I like the way you are thinking! At this level the weak link is now the plastic servo cases and heads. Have you thought about extending the monoblock to isolate the flex in the servo head assy?

Sorry about the Scepter fuses. I was picked clean awhile back!
