I would kick the root up to 1 deg..with the tip neg at level flight you are loosing some lift..also I find that with smallish wings and no incd. angle the plane tends to fly with it nose up in the air..more drag..if you kick the wing up a bit the fuse sits mostly level in level flight

the f20 isnt a traditional model though scott. ive scratch built 3 f5 family jets and i find the fly better with 0 incidence..as a large portion of the lift comes from the fuse....i tried a f5 with wing incedence and it look a ton of power to stay in the air as ot was only flying off the wings....ive found they fly better at 0 incidence like the real ones...

J no because look where the C/G is ..it is just behind the break of the lex.you are dead right the Lex & nose is what made the real F-20 able to turn so well and allowed a lot of AOA in the turns and maneauvers.

Hey Rog,

Is the F-20 going to make an appearance at Buttonwillow? Pics of this one and the HET 90 mm model in action will be great.

i have it on the parting plane doing 2 seams right now preping for the first piece of the fuse mold .the parting board work when it is done will require a bit of touch up ,then final sanding and then start making molds.i'll try to post a pic so you can see what all this entails.only getting about 1-2 hours a day on it ,cold temps make it hard to get more than one process a day done .we had like a foot of snow here on the week end.finally melted today ..say on me this has to get dont this year im as bad as HH and there F-4

Looks great A/S. The only layer missing is the chopped mat.

AS,
Looking great! At some point in the future maybe we can do a joint project. I have a big F-20 mold (I am 5' 10") and it looks pretty scale in outline. Dont know much about it but the mold is too thin and only good for a few pulls. One heavy part is all we need though...

Great glasswork A/S! So will you be producing kits yourself, or sell the molds?
