it has a scale tail cone it is just in the afterburner config ....i will do the closed version on the plug ...no sence in making a seperate piece at this point ....after tomarrow pumkin selling is over then i can dig into the wings ...or maybe i should build a prototype wing and fly it then make a mold from it . i have been playing with a core material to make composite wings with and to stiffen up the fuse .

The closed version sound good.

I wish it was 90mm sized, but I'm into the bigger stuff anyway. More work to make a new, bigger plug.

I'd rather a 90 too, but someone is already doing one. I forget who, at the moment. I think J knows.

I bout a set of the E-Flite servo less retracts for up to 120 size models and they are rock solid......... Looking. I haven't installed them in anything yet. I was thinking about my htg L-39 but went air in the end as the E-Flite were just a bit too thick for the wing and I did not want them not flush with the bottom skin. J

We are going with the SAPAC micro retracts.

They will be a drop in fit.
They will not protrude from the wing, and gear doors will close flush.
They are pnuematic and hold air for days. The scale struts designed for them look beautiflul, and operate smoothly.
There will be optional brakes that are designed for the struts.

I agree I have 4 models with sapac air retracts and they all work perfectly. Sapac retracst for the 70mm F-20. But maybe the E-Flites for the 2m one once it comes out. J

the E-flite are too tall for the F-20 we need to keep the wing fairly thin for trhe plane to "look" right

The base model will be retract ready. We will offer the SAPACs.
There are two other brands of micros that I know of. One is more expensive, the other I would not use.
Folks can adapt any type of retracts they desire.
