Hey Roger, I am not sure if you sorted the retract valve thing yet but see if there is a spare sapac one about.

I once bought a couple of spare valves and steering wires to have on hand and they were cheap. around $10 from memory. I would be happy to send but postage and timing would be faster from Gary.

well i have it holding good air pressure right now with my itty bitty cheapo valve. i'm worried that the gear wont retact all the way .we'll see when i get the wing on .i just epoxy and micro balloned the inlet into the fuse ,and i used silicon to bond the two duct together (silicon helps absorb the vibs)im going to install and tiddy up all the wires right now .wing goes on tomarrow ,and possibly taxi test.

My taxi tests always end up about 150m off the ground. Here's hoping the same for you and a successful report after.

looks like 3.4 pounds auw ready to fly less paint ...i have a few places to make some lighting holes but not much . it seems to be balanced perfect with the 3200 mah batt ...so with a bigger motor and batt the fan might be in the perfect spot .it's all the way fwd right now ,and this is the smallest batt i will use. just got to cut out the main wheel inner doors and glue the wing on . i may shorten up the wire on the struts ,not sure yet that might cause the wheels to stick out .oh a HS 55 servo is not enough for the retract valve .im going to move it in one more hole an the arm and see if the gearing will give me a little more torque...servo is stalling ...but the vale is a short throw. some lube might help to. i almost for got i need to glue the nose section on too it's just been taped for the last month or so ,might hold but some 5min would be better.

LOL more like 20 mph tape, cause I'm sure that's about when those parts would blow off...

Looks great, Rodger. Who gets to fly her first?

well Brent has some f-5 and f-20 flight time so maybe he will do it ...my biggest fear is that if i dont get the wings on exactly right the plane will roll, and the tails wont be able to correct it ,no rudder either.

Don't trash it A/S. These things are as rare as chicken lips.

What is the process to make a mold out of something like this legally morally and practically??? It is very light and wouldn't stand for the usual lay up process. It could make a good starting point though. J
