Even if you could get the Hawk with batteries (some suppliers include them, some don't) you still need to buy the receiver. If the GWS slowstick has a 5 (or more channel) Tx and Rx (plus you have the batteries and chargers) the extra cost to add ailerons would buy one or two servos and some control arms/links.

SLOWSTICK with ailerins is not a good idea. you will not be able to do rolls or inverted or any thing related to aileronsyou will not enjoy them as it supouse.. you were only be able to use ailerons on slowstick to make turns. the slowstick have a lot of diedhral to prevent the plane to roll so inverted are imposible. Rolls are possible but you will need to take out the diedral by cutting the wing in 2 and putit back more straight less diedhral. . so if you really want the aileron to go the next step. get an aileron plane that is designed with ailerons.

i thought about adding ailerons to the stick but then i searched and read it wasnt a good idea like you said. so thats why i thought this would be cheep and good to start

hey guys any of you have made any landing gears for the HAWK. any imput will be great. i want to fly in front of my home but i will need wheels for landing.

Personally landing gear wouldnt be a good idea cause it would set off the balance of the plane for those 3D aerobatics

I did not make any cut. I glue it to the bottom of the wing and then I put a strip of hinge tale to cover it. I made a little cut in fuselage so wing can pass thru with the rod. Iam using a round rod not flat.

i i have not found any problem with that.

yes CA foam. dont use hot glue you will make an ugly mess.

well i got the hawk it was a very easy build. flys great for someone that is basicly just learning how to fly. crashed it today and crunched the nose pretty good but fixed it all up and its good as new.
