Has anyone thought about putting a 1400mah battery on a s107. It is slightly larger and weights 25.5g. I haven't done any payload experiments with it but it would make this heli fly for a long time! Also has on board protection from over charging and such.

A 1400 mah battery might fly for hours. But, I bet it dosn't get more than a inch off the ground. Lee

I can't see it working if you add a 25gram battery to a 35gram heli.

I've seen youtube videos of tethered copters wired to ground battery packs...food for thought.

I put in a 70mah which weights 2.2 grams so a total of 220mah. Its very easy to lose 2 to 3 grams on the s107, so its a win-win.

Possibly true when that post was written, but all 5 of my S107 batteries (factory installed and replacements) have a small charge protect PCB.

Yes, go with the current knowledge!
I still do not trust Lipo's or their chargers, even though I've had no problems, outside of two puffed packs.

Appliance timers are cheap, and it's what I use on my plastic forming setup, in case I forget it switched on. Same thing is also on my charging strip for my Cordless Drills, because those (nicad) chargers never HAVE worked correctly, and they are now obsolete.
