Can you charge it with the Tx, or do you have to use the usb?

It should make

no difference, except it will be a AA-cell killer.
A few recharges, and the Tx's batteries will be ailin'...

Let's compare:

Keep in mind- a paint-job can add as much as a gram itself.
40.7g-38.2g=2.5g increase in weight. (~7%)
Stock cell:3.9g- Installed cell:6.2g= 2.3g
My paint is thin- .2g for the whole coating.

EDIT: OH YEAH, this black chopper has aluminum custom skids...-.7g, so:
My paint weighs .9grams.

It has slightly less oomph on takeoff and rising, but not enough to call it a net negative. The extra MASS is a good thing, it flies a bit more realistically.
It does have more tail rotor power, it seems.
A bigger battery undoubtedly gives more juice.

That's nice to know about the charging. I have an AC adapter hooked up to my Tx for charging, so won't be a battery killer for me. With this and the flybar mod, why spend over $100 for a "hobby grade" heli? Keep up the great work KB. I'm glad we're not neighbors, my wife would leave me.

Nice work

Just a small question.
If the 240mah battery don't have a on-board circuits, wont that mean that it can be overcharged and damaged ?
Think i have read somewhere about a 250mah battery that should auto stop charging when it was full, like the original 130mah batteries.

Replaced a original one with a 240mah battery on a 6023-1 and it overcharged the battery, and almost blow up.

Anyone know anything about this ?

EDIT:

Found the 250mah battery again here;

Here's the scoop:

The S107's battery does not have a bitty-board in it.

Your 6023 does. The board has to be put onto the new batteries, there's Youtube vids showing how.

Ok, now this might seem like a silly question then, sorry.
So the S107 have a "build in board" for turning of charging when the battery is full ?.

PS i'm very new at modding these small funny helicopters.

Apparently.

My charger (USB) shut off after 30 minutes or so, no packy-puffy!

Since you added weight at front, how do you keep it balanced?

It's leaned up against the frame-

almost no cg change.

The second S107 I opened has a little board in the pack- as did the next two. The first one didn't have one...
