I am using a HK 40A-50A ESC so I know it can handle it, but is the rctimer motor any good?

Hey fellas, just got a Bixler (first plane ).

I got an ARF but the 2 fuse halves are not glued together and no glue was supplied, just wondering what glue I should use?

Ok I took the plunge and bought the rctimer 2200kv motor. For $12 if it doesn't work well then it's not much of a loss :P. I also bought a prop balancer, and a new 6x4 prop :P.

Now to wait for it all to arrive, but in the mean time still gonna fly her with this motor :P

[QUOTE=Eagle202;21293267]Thanks. I was looking for one that had steps of 4, 5, 6 & 7mm or a tapered one from 3mm to 10mm.

Still looking.

Scratch that. I found an Empire 27770 T-handled taper for $12.83 on Amazon. Add a 6 inch pit bull LCD digital caliper for $12.39 and got them both shipped for free.

Thanks for giving me the idea to check places other that hobby shops.[

I hate to nit pic{I really do i just can't help it}, BUT i dont' think i gave you other ideas to check other places than hobby shops, since the place where i got the reamer from was called HOBBY WHOLESALE,just saying.

Actually between the tip about Menards from road_rascal and yours about a wholesale place for some reason triggered my search in Amazon. Can't explain it but that is how my mind works sometimes. My thanks to both of you stands.

Regular Medium CA or Beacon's FoamTac work well. The CA is usable within minutes. FoamTac should sit overnight.

Prof100 gave you some excellent suggestions, IMO. I would just add that you could use double-sided scotch (cello?) tape to make it a bit easier to separate the fuselage if you ever need to do that.

I agree. Double-sided tape is stronger than it looks (several crashes and it holds perfectly), and is easy to seperate with a craft knife.

Any problem with using double sided tape to attach the tail to the fuselage?

After what appears to be an eternity waiting for UK stocks of the Multiplex Easystar II RR to appear again, I have given up hope and opted to take the Sky Surfer route. In posting #2 of this thread item 4 links to BRC Hobbies as one of the UK vendors. A search of this thread suggests that they don't carry stocks of the Sky Surfer anymore. However, checking their website they seem to carry the latest ARTF and RR versions here http://brchobbies.com/?page=search&s...rch=sky+surfer Apologies if this is already known. I can't read all 958 pages today but did do a search.
Has anyone bought from them recently and know if it is the latest version.

Blobs of UHU-POR for that!

(you can also try the removable stab mod - although I found the Factory version on my EZ a bit weak)

For the Sky Surfer, try the importer here: http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.u...4&activepage=1

I have no idea what version it is, but the latest shipment arrived in Jan 2012 and is being sold by a lot of vendors. I'd email JPerkins direct though to check.

Hey AJ I wish you had edited that vid. My iPad screen went black and I thought that the iPad had gone legs up. Blo*dy frightened me.
Nice landings.
