Yes that is the ESC, and I did cut it down to fit. I am not sure which blue thing you refer to, the velcro piece for the canopy?

I didn't. It comes with the membership of the FPVUK.ORG group. The groups heads organised it.

And of course some sort of axle and collars to attach the wheels would be required.

It's a good LG setup, though a bit heavy but only because I wanted good ruggedness, and they are! Tail wheel requires a little bit of work to attach it well.

Thank You. I do a lot of business with HK and I would have never thought of searching for "strut". Both of my Sky Surfer's will be very happy.

Rememberit is a 2 piece LG, so you will need to make a good mounting method, personally I just used pop sicle sticks, as a matter of fact...

Just consider in my original build I had them a little too far back for good balance, they need to be a little forward of the leading edge, otherwise nosing it on take-offs becomes an issue.

If you mean can it be "custom" fit to the Bixler, then, most likely, Yes. However, you might want to consider a few posts up by NorCalMatCat. I really like the pictures of how he adapted the LG to his plane. The LG (struts) are a lot cheaper, too. I am going to order them for my planes. Take a look.

It's going to be sitting very high off the ground. Takeoffs will be interesting at an angle of attack of 20+ degrees.

The landing gear made by airscapeRC (who seem to have stopped selling it) shows you the sort of geometry that works. Would be what I would aim for on a home made as well.

Takes off like a dream on my Bixler. It is adjustable fore and aft to optimize for bounce on landing.

It looks nice. But, IIRC, at $35, it costs almost as much as the whole plane. IMO, he is way overpriced. There are many other options that are just as effective and much cheaper.
