Uhhhh....is that binary, or Arabic?
There's only 10 kinds of people that understand this stuff, y'know.
Those who speak binary & those who don't.

[QUOTE=Papo_60;19413806]SH, not sure if we are on the same page or if I misunderstood you above. What I am saying is if you use the 3 wire bullet connectors shown below from HK for both the motor & ESC wires, then you do not need to unplug\replug any 2 wires. All you need to do is unplug the bullet connectors, rotate one connector 180 degrees & replug. By doing this, the 2 wires outside wires of the connector being rotated get reversed & the motor should run in the right direction.
...

OH! OK, I see where you's coming from. You were talking plugs, & I was talking connectors only.

Tho they add a bit of convenience, I couldn't see the justification for using those things however. Motors are usually a pretty permanent installation, so there's not that much convenience provided, considering the very few times that kind've plug would be utilized. Seems the time to solder 'em in place - & both halves - would take longer than you'd ever save over swapping out the 3 wires one-by-one. Then there's the added expense, the weight. Nossir....just can't see it.

You got an honest-to-gawd belly laff on that one, Gordo! Good way t' start the morning!
Yeah, I started to mention it comes in colors....but thought anyone shopping for it would surely find that out.
Can't think of a reason you wouldn't be able to get it in UK, but do know there's always that 'banned substance' thing so, y'never know.

From the amount of interest (responding posts) it looks like this has been a good tip. Glad to see that. Even better to know [the collective] "I" ain't the only one that's committed that folly, no? *LOL* We need to find a name for the omission act....make it a classic! The Bootoob Effect?
(Kinda fitting *ahem* it's a palindrome.)

1) The male connectors on the motor wires were much smaller than 3.5mm, maybe 2mm max... I replace them with the 3.5mm bullet connectors from HK.

2) The motor leads on my BH SS were only 3" long. Had to pull them out through the opening at the bottom of the nacelle. I added enough wire (about 14") to fish down the channel & into the fuse. They were long enough so my wires ended up outside the canopy like yours to make the connecting process easier....

Not sure if all BH SS come with the "very" short motor wires but mine did & thought it was worth passing on to the group...
Ron
My SS was the same way on all counts. With mine, after I replaced the ends with 3.5's, I made an extension cable longer than I needed to reach the nose rather than adding onto the existing wires.

Also, I did not have any XT60 connectors to solder to the ESC when I got the plane so I just soldered the bullets on the ESC/battery wires. I still haven't gotten around to changing and it works fine as long as you make sure to color coordinate.

That pic was right off Castle Creations web site too. Never noticed it. Good job. I went back and fixed the pic as not to confuse StarStomper.

This motor will fit inside the motor compartment(nacelle). In the photo below the top is the stock BL attached to the ply spacers (V1) and the bottom is a similar 2600 KV motor attached to the plastic spacers (V2).

Alternatively you can use the method suggested by jj604.

With my existing set up I found it more convinient to mount outside the nacelle, in the not too distant future I will mount it inside as well and see if there is any noticable difference in performance.

Oh yes it is good entertainment at times.
I just had a PM accusing me of calling a party rude. I SAID THAT THE MESSAGE WAS A BIT RUDE. NOT THE PARTY PERSON.
