Planned TREX 600 build

Hello,
I am planning on getting this:

I have not decided on a reciver yet. Before I order, I have a question about the battery. I think this is looking the best:

Do you see any problem with using two of those packs in parallel? Can I put the packs on the sides, between the skid arms (If I can use two)? I have never worked with 600 class helicopters. I am looking for 10 min., if not more, flight time. Pay load will be minimal, some extra PCB's, and some radio gear.

This is not for 3D, just for basic sport and forward flight. (Think medical helicopter, not some attack helicopter).

At a lower rpm you can get just one of these batteries to power your helicopter for around 8 minutes. With the flybarless kit you may even be able to stretch that a bit. If you want ten minutes of flight plus some gear on board, then I'd look at 8000 mAh total instead of 10,000 mAh.

10 min is just a minimum. Ideally I would like 1/2 hour, but I know thats not going to happen with a 600 ESP.

With two of those batteries, what kind of payload do you think I could carry? Right now, I am looking at a small camera, Radio gear (1W), GPS, a IMU, and a central processor (mbed).

Whats the all up weight of your gear? I've seen one on youtube that carried around 16 lbs. Flight time was minimal, though.

+1. once you get to a certain point in excess weight, you'll lose performance and consequently runtime. 2 of those batteries is a ton of weight, plus the extras you'll have (camera, gps, etc.)

Ok, I will do some tests to see if I can carry the extra weight with good flight characteristics.
