Why not glue some plywood (say 3/16 or 1/4" x 1 x 1/2) flush with the fuse and use a screw in 'L' hook. Then you could move it if needed?

When putting plywood into the fuselage, watch out for the plastic tube in which the antenna runs. That tube is about a quarter inch up from the bottom of the fuselage.

The sweet spot for a tow hook on the glider version of an Easy Glider is right at the rear of the recess for the supplied plastic tow hook. However, that doesn't help you too much because your Easy Glider has no recess.

Dick helped dial in Nicks' Easy Glider last year at the Easy Glider Contest at Davis Field.

Until we moved the tow hook back, it simply wouldn't stop popping off.

I drilled a hole then and there, and Ken, I think, gave me a piece of L-bend with one end threaded.
I ca'd a piece of hardwood into the hole I drilled, and screwed the hook in with some more ca.

Worked like a charm.

If you want, I will go and measure exactly where we put it.

Directly under CG is usually best. If you want to be extra-safe, move it forward a bit, maybe 1/4 inch. Best is to make it adjustable, start a little forward of CG and move it back until you get the launch you want, or until it starts to get unstable on tow.

Good luck,

DLD

Exactly 2 3/4 inches from the leading edge of the wing.....works great!

Interestingly, the stock tow hook is 1 1/2 inch from the leading edge!
