Walkera HM CB180D Helicopter 2.4G - Loss of signal

Walkera HM CB180D Helicopter (2.4G Metal Edition) RTF Remote Control w/ LCD Transmitter - signal erractic @approx 30ft and loss of signal @ 40 ft. Helicopter is new, first flight was almost disaster due to loss of signal. I proved signal loss by setting Tx at low rpm and walking away with the helicopter. Also noticed red light on Rx starting blinking when signal lost. Any suggestions other than return to XHeli?

This seems like a Walkera thing sometimes. Many others have reported the same situation and it's usually the transmitter. Are you using new batteries in the transmitter? If so, it may be defective.
