Good idea on hot glue. I reinforce with epoxy before installing then I use CA only on the little slot at the bottom of the mount to glue it to the frame. That way you can shave the mount and glue off in one stroke.

I found out you can over pitch the prop too. I twisted a bit too far a few nights ago and the plane was flying sluggishly with what sounded like abnormally low r.p.m.s I landed it, checked the little motor and man was it ever HOT! I then backed off on the pitch and all was back to normal.

Does the pitch stay once you've re-pitch'd the prop? Maybe I'm not twisting enough but it seems I only get a minute or so of increased pitch from the prop.

Guys these CF props aren't cheep but you don't have to re-pitch them and they'll probably be the last prop you'll have to buy. I've never broke one with the Vapor.

I found that I had to give it a little "tune-up" twist for a few days. It seems like it wants to return to its original pitch.

Do you have the uncontrolled dive problems with that prop? I've been testing aftermarket props on the vapor and the all have this issue except the stock prop

I've had the dive issue with the stock prop.

The dive issue is caused by the airframe itself not the prop.

I suspect the elevator itself is actually flexing. But that's just a wild guess.

pull the cabanes apart that connect the front and back of the wing. just give them a little tug away from each other like you're stretching the wing from front to back. seems to help me a lot when trying different props on the vapor

Your correct here's the mod I did to stop the diving problem. This Vapor has a ball bearing gearbox, J3 Cub motor, 5030 carbon fiber prop and a Hyperion 70 cell. This combo puts out a ton of thrust and I can run it full throttle. At full throttle it will pull up and to the right with no stick input. Big loops and big circles are easy now at full throttle,also modded to do tight loops and turns. To me this is the ultimate 3-CH plane and I'll never go back to a stock one.
