I have always doubted that dark colours are better, but that convinces me
I think you did a GREAT job getting all those aircraft to fly so well in formation like that (just joking)

Old and New
30 years ago on towline gliders a Black Fuselage, White inner wing panels with International Orange wing tips was common. This may have been done so finding it on the ground was easier with those Intern. Orange wing tips sticking up.
But now an RC Sailplane show up "better to me" with the underside of the wing covered with a very dark opaque (black or insignia red) and the upper surface White.
Verticle fin/rudders are red. In the past the USAF thought International Orange was most visable (most of the time).
