I've read from one end to other looking for any issues with the long battery leads and have not seen any. Have any of you found this to be an issue? My flying gang seems to think I should be adding caps and such

I've had a few Starmax F-5's with a long battery lead from the esc to battery cage and never had an issue. I've held up the maiden as a result so any quick responses are appreciated.

I have three planes with long wires and no issues so far.

I would recommend to research this a bit further as longer battery leads can damage your ESC. In case of doubt, Castle offer cap strips that will allow you to play it safe.

Battery placement

I'm just building up a kit of the mig 29, working out the gear and the cockpit area.
Looks like one 3S pack up front and one pack behind the pilot?
Could someone post a picture..Please of their mig's cockpit area in regards to battery placement... I decided to tint the cockpit glass on my mig to hide the mess of wires up there... and then I found this picture..

I like the ASSAN gear/door sequencer from HK and want to use it on the mig.
I'm working to add fishing line and pushrod flex tube to close the doors, Spring hinges to open them up. RC Lander e-tracts going in because I had some and it's easy.
On the LX A10 I had only glued in short Oak blocks for the gear mounts..
Not this time..
I'm going to glue the plywood in with rubber cement

Where did you get the spring hinges to open the gear door?

Guys, see if this will help any? I posted most of the old photos of the Mig builds I did all in one place on my blog page. They are all grouped together so you'l have to pick and choose what interest you. Also remember they are photos from 3 different migs I did, but it's pretty easy to tell which is the later one of the camo East German Mig-29 which is the one I still have.

I'll add to it as I find more of the pictures.

Depends on your packs. I have a 2S one in front of and a 4S one behind the pilot.

Going with 3S packs means that you can do 3S and 6S. With 2+4 you can make 2S, 4S and 6S for other planes. That was the reason I chose 2+4.

Cheers,
Henrik
