I am also considering a competitor, since Freewing seems to be more popular:
the eurofighter (with canards).
What do you people say? Who has the upper hand in between the two?

I had both. The Euro is pretty good, IMHO better than the LX MiG29. But the difference is not so pronounced as in the Su35. The Euro can be improved a lot by better servos, also, the stock motor/fan combo is okay, but not thaaat exciting. You will also likely end up modding the Euro's battery bay and curse the cockpit, it opens in the front (i.e. it can be opened by the airstream).

I never got much success with the Euro's landing gears, albeit the V3 gears seam a bit better.

Cheers,
Henrik

Wow, man, you had all the models! I treat you like a living encyclopaedia on my search
Su35 is keeping on popping up as the ultimate bird... So I am basically pulling back just because of the flaps. I must find a mental workaround for that.

Hey folks, your thoughts on using these change sun 10 blade impeller on the stock motors but using 4s (instead of the stock 6s) ???

http://edfhobbies.com/index.php?rout...product_id=247

I'd like to run on 4s (most all my other planes use 4s 1800 40c packs) - so hoping to use 2 of them for a 4s 3600 40c. hoping to just swap the impellers on a brand new ARF

Interesting, yes what would the 4s setup do? Do you need to change ESC also? Are you using more current for the same amount of power output? So everything gets hotter I guess...
Maybe you get longer flight times then?

CS10 is nice if you have the power to move it. I run it in my Meteor on 5S 40C, and pull approx 85A @ full throttle. 4S was sluggish. I'm doing the Freewing counter-rotating fans in this
bird...

Program the ailerons as flaps+ailerons. No problem with the Su-35, the wires are reasonably accessible.

Cheers,
Henrik

spoilerons work even better on a lot of RC models.

my A-10 and Sbach 342 loves them.

Thanks Nad, I read a bit about spoilerons. They are interesting, yet I am keen on practisingwith the normal fundamentals of flying.
When landing, at least in theory, I wish to approach ground slowly on the x direction, and have as much lift as possible (on the y direction).
So flaps should be my best bet...

Nice flights!

What happened at 1:03?

My only plane to break the 100th barrier is my FMS Phantom so far.

Finally completed mine.

But I'm having a really hard time programming.

Right wing aileron and left flap servos are jittering even with the rod disconnected. I think I better change them.

Thank you for the compliment

The plane in crashed because it had lost a rotor of one of EDF ducted fan

A JET which possesses a vectorial push and which possesses 2 EDF, cannot fly with 1 only turbine,
Because in that case there, ailerons work as if it was the depth

80 in 90 % of the efficiency of ailerons comes from the vectorial push

A hedge against Asymmetric thrust if an engine is lost is to "toe out" the engine nozzles. In normal operation the two nozzles cancel each other out. If an engine is lost, the toe out of the remaining motor helps cancel some of the yaw from off-center thrust.
