The SU-35 is beautiful, and also quite cheap, I agree. But it has got no flaps, and no parachute and no smokes
The parachute is making me feel like a kid again, the smoke seems fun to try at times, and most importantly (without attempting to become a senior aerodynamicist) I really liked the front wing lip and the matched flap.
Superfly, if you buy a kit you get no smoke and no lights. The best deal I think is green RTF Mig from BH for 269$. Contrary to FW, LX kits also do not include wires.
Regarding flaps - I'm seriously thinking about combining them with ailerons as I crashed my 1st Mig into popcorn due to not enough roll rate.

Yesterday I had a problem with my DSR Turnigy électronique rétracter systèmes

I tried to launch my MIG to the hand

It is difficult, it is necessary to run fast and strong throw, but that works

Thought about it, too. However, you either have to make the slats unmovable or put a second servo next to the flaps-slats servo. Hmm.

Cheers,
Henrik

I buy one used Mig-29 with Metal EDF 2500kv motor ESC:85/100 digital metal gear servo. It is really cool. First try my 3300 4S+2S Nano-tech Buttery. NOT GOOD.
I ordered from the HobbyKing Turnigy 40C T4000 4S+2S Buttery, and try it today. It is

FAST,STRONG and EASY FLY!

Great Plane.

This is the standard setup if you want to save channels (respectively output pins on your receiver). You don't need special servos for that. You just take two standard servos connected via a y-cable. Then you get the desired effect of one servo pushing and one servo shoving, because usually the servo arms are mounted 180° to each other:

Aileron Servo 1
| <- servo arm 1

----centerline of the airplane-----

| <- servo arm 2
Aileron Servo 2

one or two batteries

I just ordered one of these what seems to be the best battery combination? Is everyone using one 6s 3600 or two 3s 3600 batts? How do you hook it up with 2? I'm new to the EDF thing and not sure how to hook 2 batts together. Thanks

Hi Handyman! Hooking up two units of 3s so to make one unit of 6s means that they have to be put in series. Practically, there will be one + pole that will be connected to the - pole of another battery.
I have also read about other people settling for a system running with 4s batteries (no series here, just one solid unit).
Maybe this would give you longer flight times and also claimed better management for the CoG.
Actually, could anyone confirm about this? What are the drawbacks of running a 4s instead of a 6s?
And even on 3s then?

Superfly thanks for the quick reply. So if I understand you I should by two 3s 3600 batts and hook them in series vs one 6s 3600 batt? I have read some of the thread, but would like to order batts. while they are on sale.(Black Friday)

Yes, that is precisely the point. Two units of 3s type battery with same capacity (3600) will put your system into an 6s setup if connected in series.
Do remember that you have to buy a connecting harness of some kind, as I don't know what is provided with the mig kit.

Thanks again Superfly, already ordered two 3s 3600 30c batts from HK USA. I already have the connecting harness, parallel and series I had ordered previously(sometimes I think ahead) I also ordered a 3300 6s 35-70c discharge to try, not really sure if it will fit, we'll see.

Glad that I have been of help. I am fascinated about the mig 29 myself, and I would like to highlight this talented builder:

http://www.youtube.com/user/inthetubedeep

He has strongly improved the fuselage accessibility of the mig 29 by making two extra hatches. I suggest you try to do the same.
Me, I will definitely go for all the workarounds he has published, but meanwhile I am still waiting for either the 9xr or the x12d.
Secondly, I will push as soon as possible for a full fpv system just like this:

FPV aerobatic team (5 min 34 sec)

I believe that with some effort this will be a more interesting jewel than the su-35. I like the slats, the parachute, the smoke and the gear doors. Possibly I will try to make the wings not glued, but held by long carbon rods and magnets...

I think it is just one bad looking plane. All the bells and whistles that comes with it is a plus! Myself, I think the red, white and blue paint should make it highly visible in flight. I can't wait for the brown truck to deliver it, hopefully before next weekend.
