Agreed, I'd prefer fibreglass or CF, not steel.
Any chance you might be selling spares like wings, tails, canopies and fuselages?

Yes that's a good idea. I used to do all that when manually building balsa aircraft, but I didn't think to do so with pre fabricated foam. Its been 10 years since I flow rc regularly and now that I'm back into it again, some things have changed (ie the popularity of foam ARF aircraft).

I used to build and fly balsa slimers too. Sometimes the old skills become useful in this new world!

3rd Attempt = Broken nose

Hello all,
So I finally had an opportunity to attempt to fly my skywalker. After catching up on this thread, I think I know where some of my issues lye.
First of all, worth mentioning that I am trying to fly it with a 5kmah battery.
The Battery is secured via two small velcro strips that dont really do what velcro is supposed to do...

on my second attempt I got the plane to fake off, but it pretty much stalled since i was banking too high.

on my third attempt yesterday, the same thing happened, and it got so high that back on its way down, the battery came loose and most of the nose was damaged.........

I have landing gear on the plane. two front wheels and one free wheel spring loaded in the back.

So I was doing some thinking overnight about this....
My CG is clearly not static. I am planning on "fixing" up the plane soon to try again before the weather goes to the -'s
what would be nice to be supplied is a foam insert. that would go into the plane, that would fill the entire cavity. maybe two pieces, sandwiched.
the idea would be to provide the "cavity insert" and have the users cut out sections of it for batt, ESC, reciever... etc. so nothing has a chance to move around. and it would be better to design the nose not closed off the way it is. but integrated into this cavity insert. If whoever has the 3D models of the plane, I can make the changes and update it for them.

also, for the elevator. its very unstable. a simple A frame support can be made that would install very easily from the top. and could provide more lift with a flap connected. I will do some sketches and send or if someone want to PM me, I can send that way too.

but i guess my question is: How do i know exactly where to install my landing gear??? move it front/back?

You sure you're headed the right direction here?

mmm how can you tell its steel? Me no like either if that is true.
The current two tube setup for the current wing joining works well for me. Just needs a bit more strength through to near end of the span

BEV .. Like to see full list of changes from previous.

Canopy - I like that... this is a plus...
