Props are pretty cheap, buy a bunch and just try.

You can do folding props but my opinion is what little they save in a long glide from high altitude home probably doesn't make up for them being slightly less efficient. Make sure to enable brake in the ESC. This isn't a plane for finding thermals or doing a lot of motor off stuff.

From office depot you can buy a bag of big rubber bands, I forget the "# number". They are narrower and a bit tighter than the ones shipped, but you get so many you can throw them away after a few flights if you are worried about one snapping. Since they are a bit tighter you don't have to do "triangles" with them, just one on each cross direction, and one on each front-back. They can dent the EPO a little but it is minor.
Thanks a lot for the input, I'm planning on mounting a 4S 5000 mAh lipo pack, will a 9X6 prop fit the bill?

I've done about 8 flights on my Skywalker, but unfortunately I'm not experiencing the same "very stable" platform that people have been saying about the skywalker. I was at the park on the weekend in 10kt wind. After take off I turned cross wind, and almost got rolled over by the wind picking one wing, I had to use full opposite aileron to level off. As I turned from downwind to base, the skywalker suddenly entered into a spin mid turn. Incipient spin recovery worked, I pulled out of it, and flew upwind, but it wasn't stable, got knocked around by the wind.

Were you in a park, surrounded by trees while trying to fly in the wind? That'll create
turbulence that is very unpleasant and potentially fatal to fly in.

I'm just about done with my Skywalker rebuild after a crash in June but now I want to power my radio/LR UHF Tx (hitec A9 with Scherrer LR UHF) from a 12volt lead acid battery connected to a Castle Pro BEC, but am not sure if the BEC's output amperage will work with the A9's max input amperage...does anyone know the answer to this?

SkyWalker vs TwinStar

Can someone that owned both planes tell me the difference in flying characteristics of these two planes?
I'd like to get SkyWalker for few reason, bigger wingspan which probably means better efficiency, it looks like flying a bit faster, i don't want another easy glider or similar, and one motor which means less things to go bad, but there is a possibility i wouldn't be able to get that thing since shipping to here is insane.
I've noticed Twinstar gets decent efficiency, approx 8A on 3S with around 40kmph cruising speed.

why don't you use a Y cable and connect it with ailerons ? not perfect but better than not having it...

I fly without rudder. No problems.

Here's my You Tube channel.

There are plenty of videos, none of which are using rudder.
