I'd like somebody els's input on this,

but it seems that you want a 12V step-down, straight off of the battery,

instead of doing a step-up from your BEC

WOW Adam, that's a lot of battery.

So far I'm pretty happy with the 1 battery system...

What kind of flight times are you getting.

can you post some video?

Quick question please. "If I have power to the Vtx and power to the Vrx, but no camera hooked up, should I have grey screen with static or just solid black with no sign of activity?" I had video and OSD working, then next time I didn't. I bypassed the OSD, and hooked GoPro direct like before I bought the OSD, but nothing but black screen. Took camera off and just powered Tx and Rx and nothing but black. -- thanks, JOHN

Depends on OSD, EZOSD will still show a screen, DOSD with no camera linked and on will not show anything

Coyote, thanks for the reply. What I was trying to ask, is with NO osd and No camera hooked up, just tx and rx powered, should I see static or just black nothingness. -- thanks, JOHN

Ah, you're right! It'd probably be more efficient. I'm using the step-up converter because I have a bunch of them lying around from other projects. (and, strangely enough, eliminated ESC noise on the video with my AXN Floater-Jet FPV setup.)

Thanks, I guess I cant tell from that then. Trying to decide if the vtx or vrx is bad. Do you know of any way to test them, so that I can eliminate them as to what my my problem is.

Hi Jaybee,
I have been doing some reading on the DC to DC converters.
Some can send RF noise to the UHF link.
It is a good way to isolate the video power but has possible drawbacks.

Hey, Nakel,

You can use this to mount it:

FPV Pan-Tilt Camera Mount (Large) $4.99

I have the same style camera. The OSD board can be disconnected, once you've finished setting up the camera preferences the way you like.
