I just marvel at the inability of some folks to grasp the essence of a question in the context of where a topic is heading. Fergus mentions the fact that the flaps are hinged differently on the EPO version versus the EPS version, so that peaked my interest. I don't have either plane in yet, hence I'm curious to see what these differences are, so I ask for pictures.

Our good friend Mr Polo seems to conclude that any question I post is a sign of my savvyness with this hobby failing. Odd how he reaches this conclusion based on the above, he must be reading fine print we're all missing?

Cheers,

Sander.

I'm just really sensitive, for example I don't watch girl flicks with my gf as I always end up crying my eyes out when the girl does finally end up with the guy ...

Cheers,

Sander.

Ok back on topic!!

Here you go Sander. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics but I'm too lazy to boot up my laptop. Haha.

EPS flap moulding. Notice the angled cut in the flap is done for you at the factory.

EPO flap moulding. The flap outline is moulded but the control surface is not beveled.

Regards

Fergus.

Thanks Fergus, yes ))) mine is EPO too. for a moment I thought mine is going to fall from sky too (. Any way I intend to add one solid carbon square rod extending the supplied carbon tube ( angled and epoxied). I think that should do it though I don't intend to do any high G but it will be loaded :0. Good luck and have safe flying day.

There is an advantage with eps. It breaks of, instead of deforming, and you just use some heated (not to hot) plastic glue and tape to fix it.

I crashed into a tree today. User error. To stressed out. I have no routine, no system, so I forget things.

Almost the worst thing I forgot. Press record on GoPro.

Thanks Fergus, that's pretty much what I expected. What's the EPO like? Similar to Multiplex's Elapor?

Cheers,

Sander.

what punchy motor ??

Hi guys,
Waiting for my EPO (?!!!) version !!!

Thanks, Fergus, for EPO picture !!!

Some questions, anyway. With RVOSD, pan and tilt, sensors and 4000 Mah 4S, I think I'll be nearly 1.9 Kg...no ?

Could U tell me what motor use in 4S lipo with poor Amp consumption, and a Very good punch !!!

The idea is to climb up to clouds with nearly 10m/s , and glide gently to the ground !

On Hobby-lobby, turnigy seems to be a good motor, but wich one use ????

Is there a size to respect ???

Big thanks, guys, and see U soon on of my new cockpit plane...

Vince.

Get the one with lowest kv that draws about 5-600W with the biggest prop allowed by space, I think is 11" but not sure.

9" is the largest propeller that will fit. I mounted the Turnigy SK 35-42. Using a 8x6APC-E for long flight times it pulls 31A/460W on 4S or 28A/310W on 3S. With 4500mah 3S the AUW is 1.5kg and has plenty of power for climbing. Flight times are 50(+) minutes with 20% left in the batteries. If you need more power use 9" and maybe even a 3 blade propeller. But consider a 60A ESC for safety margins. The motor can handle it.The motor is a bit heavy, so you need to put your batteries in the front of the airframe. If you want a lighter setup I would think about using Turnigy SK 35-36
