Thankyou Adnan. I am ver greatful. I read a post by you on another forum some time ago. For those who haven't seen it:

I am happy to say that Adnan is a great ambasador for the hobby and admire his commitment to quality service. I will kit out the new airframe and see if the EPO skywalker is better behaved.

Thanks again Adnan. I will post my findings soon.

Regards

Fergus.

Wingspar just came lose from the wing, taking with it chunks of foam. Despite the fact that I degreased (aceton) the foam prior to glueing and used CA on the Elapor (this was a Protech Voyager kit). Wasn't the first flight either, have done many flights like it, nor was it the first time I looped it'
Thanks for clarifying Sander. I thought for a minute you were also flying the Skywalker.

I am at a loss to understand why the aircraft was exhibiting the pitch up tendency. I have seen FPV flights from this platform online and they look very stable. Perhaps it is an aerodynamics issue. The cg at three inches from the leading edge seems right. The aeroplane flew fine without any elevator trim off the bench so I doubt that cg is the cause. What might cause the tail to stall before the main wing? Has anyone else here flown this plane yet?

The copilot was off for the last flight as was it's autotrim feature. The only other thing I can think of is the servo buffer used with the futaba rx. There are warnings about erratic servo movement when using futaba with copilot. Although on the bench the servos move correctly and no unwanted movement was detected.

I will replace the elevator servo as a process of elimination. I will also fly the new airframe without any telemetry or other unnecessary components to see if I can establish the cause of the problem. The elevator issue has me more worried than the poor quality foam in the eps version. I am anxcious to hear how others fair.

Regards

Fergus.

I think I found my Skywalker supplier - Not often you get proper service. Nice one, Adnan.

On a wing such as that the CG should be between 25 and 33% of the width of the wing. I usually start a little nose heavy and move my way back. But in the majority of cases you'd rather have it a little nose heavy than tail heavy, the latter is rather twitchy and hard to control near the stall speed (which usually is during landing).

I second your suggestions on the rebuild. Just start with the basics then start adding stuff. The co-pilot I'd just leave out, unless you have a specific need for it, as I'm not in the least bit impressed by it.

Cheers,

Sander.

Well I hope Adnan extends me the same courtesy. I did email him a few days ago complaining the plane is just not usable.

I was also one of the very first buyers.

Oh, and sorry to hear about the crash Fergus. Although not completely unexpected I think.

I think the EPO will flex much more in the wing, before snapping, like the brittle foam of the EPS.

Ditto on that. I bought two and they are sub-par IMHO. I definitely wouldn't send up any of my FPV equipment in them.
