Awesome media, thanks! We're about on the same latitude, with summer coming on, I'm wondering if the black colour is going to cause a problem. I remember last summer was scorching and I was worried that the interior is getting too hot while it was grounded.

What's your experience with heat because of the colour?

Drogue Chute Test

We tested a new drogue chute on my Skywalker out in a Nevada desert. Deployed from 1,100 feet above ground level and it worked perfect.

New drogue chute test on the Skywalker (2 min 45 sec)

If you come to Brazil, come to the city of Florianopolis! I live here, lies in the south of Brazil, beautiful beaches, warm weather in the summer, and beautiful people! quiet city free of criminal, unlike São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. the best city for live of the Brazil!

Cool ! What would be fun would be tu release the chute near ground and start flying again before touch down

Reinforcing the v6 wing

Hi all, I'm trying to work out the best way to reinforce the v5/6 wing. There is a whole heap of information about how to reinforce the v4 wing, but seem to be very little (from what I can find) on what people have done with the v6.

Before I take to the wing with a scalpel, I thought I'd get the expert opinions here.

Please see the image below. The red is where the stock standard rods for the v6 are. In black is where I am thinking or putting the carbon strips. I'm happy to glue the wing halves together. The strips are about 800mm odd long (ish), so there is 3 of them, with an overlap in the middle (the blue lines show the two ends of the centre strip).

Yes, the strips are lying horizontal in the photo, but they will be vertical (and on top side too).

Is this the optimal placement? Or should I move the strip that is spanning the centre to infront of the stock spars? I'm even open to keeping it like this and adding an additional spar pair towards the front. Keen not to go overboard though! Thoughts?

I fitted my spars just behind the servos (95mm from LE) based on fact that you want them in the thickest part of the wing. I have 5cm of overlap. Spars are only 5x0.6mm but the wing is already a whole lot stiffer. Likewise about going overboard, dont want too much carbon b/c of interference. I do intend to fiber tape and lam though.
Also I'm not an expert, so if there are any out there...

Hey guy's,

I'm deciding between the V.5 and V.6.
1) What are the pros and cons of each?
2) Does the V.6 have a double spar or single spar going through the wing?
3.) Which is the more sturdier of the two?

EDIT: Also, where should I buy mine from that has cheap shipping to Canada?

Thanks guys.
