Hi all,

Finally received my Skywalker today, and it has a couple of dents thanks to the wonderful postal service. The dents come from the package being crushed and pushing the central carbon fibre rod into the wing.

Suggestions on how to rectify? I've seen videos of people using the hot water trick to take dents out, but it left their foam with an alligator-like texture. The guy who was doing that was literally using boiling water though. If you use slightly cooler water do you still get the same effect?

Get a old towel soak it in water and fold it over a couple of times place it on the dents and use a clothes iron on steam and go for it - check from time to time to see how its going this method is better to regulate the heat so you don't get alligator skin Yes you must get it hot.

The water needs to be no hotter than about 170 degrees or foam beads will puff. I use the steam
method above with blue Scott paper shop towels soaked in water, and folded over a couple
times then hit it with regular iron. As long as you don't run the towel out of water, it
keeps steaming and iron moving, you shouldn't overheat the foam.
