Found a new elastic band that works great. SIG SIGSH747.
These are ones they make for their planes. They call it a #67.
Much different rubber than the ones from Staples and even the ones that come with the SW.
I used the originals and did the method where you loop each one like a triangle.
Had a problem with my plane, and when I got it down to the ground, one of the cables from my pan and tilt camera that sits before the wing was UNDER the wing which means that at some point the wing lifted up.
I also noticed that the SW bands can get stretched and then don't have as much pull.
I use 4 of these, 2 x diagonal and 2 x parallel and have held the wing and tried to have bounce it up and down to have it move and it won't.
Probably 10 to a pack and very cheap.
Very confident now that my wing isn't coming off.

Here is some video showing the crazy stuff my SW has been through in the last week. The point of this is to show how strong the version 5.1 wing is with the single carbon rod, my wings are not glued, and just strong fiber tape on the bottom.

Left the gps sound and motor sound in so don't turn up too loud.

Couple of mods that I think help out.
First is to clean up the air around the go pro and canopy. Peanut butter jar.
Second is the cf ribbon in the vertical tail that runs from under the horizontal stab to deep in the boom foam.
Made a noticeable difference in the side to side motion.

My SW v 2 wing tips deflects 20 + deg on takeoff.
No breakage so far.

Sorry to see that, but you can see on the good side, you did not hit anyone or anything, this is the only good point that I can tell you..... This is a part of the hobby, sometimes we crash. Wish you lucky in your eletronics.

I think it's just that our SW's are magical guys. I once spiralled into the ground from about 100 feet due to loss of control on a turn, and hit at about 30 mph. Total damage? A 1cm crack just above the cargo bay door, and one of the struts I made for the tail fell off.

Granted, I fly a 1900mm wing (black one from BEV), it only has 1 cf rod running down it, so I believe the durability to be close to the 5.1 wing.

Point being, any of my other planes woulda been toast after that.
