That is indeed a very interesting product. I noticed you can even charge it through induction and RF.
The only problem I see though it says "up to 1ma per square cm". That would seem to be quite a bit of surface area for the cell sizes we use, unless they could fold or roll it up after applying the layers. But it reads as though it's resin cast or something similiar to a chip and seems to be more for use as low power and manufactured right on the device or chip it's powering.
But the technology will probably lead to bigger and better I'm sure.
Let's see, with a 4x8 sheet of fanfold coated, I could get about 45,000ma. If I got 6 planes out of that, less waste, I'd have about 5000mah per plane. or 2,500 at 7.2V. Capacity would probably diminish after each crash, depending on how much of your "battery" you left at the crash site. I could modify the microwave and stick it in there for about 45 seconds to recharge, and I'm off again.... I mean really off, just kidding, don't try that at home.

i have to say: English is difficultly for me, and many many things i may no have got the right way...

inducation = without mechanically connecting them, "charging through the air" ??
i have also noticed that on there application-site they mention many things that sound for "low-power"-mashines...
but they nevertheless speak about 5C continously and 15C peaks..

i will go with LiPO when they do following things for me:
1.) 6C continously 10C peaks
2.) charging with 2C
3.) price lower
ad 1) on a 8000mAh-pack that would mean 50A continously, and 80A for short..
so the values a good NiCD 2400-pack can give
ad 2) my 2400-packs i charge with 8A.. they are full in aoubt 25minutes
a 8000mAh-pack: i want 16A charge-rate, so its full in about 30-40min

PS I gave number 2.) an rating because it still takes more than half an hour to get more than say an 80% charge even if you start out at 2C since the current tapers off...

with my small NiCd-batts for my slowflyers thats possible..
10min and they are full..
well in the moment: the price...
with 300 Euro pocket-money (iam a student, not working in the moment) its not really possible to spend 200Euro for a single batt-pack

It seems that this product would be great for RC. For the sake of arguement, lets take a look:
A 100x30 mm (30 sq. cm) cell constructed of 100 layers in parrallel of this material would 3000 sq. cm delivering 3000 mah @ 3.6V. I roughly estimate that these 100 sheets would be about 10 mm thick if no spacing is needed between layers. Each 100x30x10mm cell would about 45 gr, or 15 gr/1000mah.
A 7.2V 3000mah 2S pack would be 100x30x20 mm at 90 gr., being capable of delivering 15 amps continuous (the reason I choose this size to work with) with bursts of 45 amps possible. According to MotoCalc, I should be able to fly an Omega 1.8 E with a geared Hacker B20 18L swinging a 13x9 prop at full trottle for about 22 min, with a 1200 ft/min climb and barely go over the 15 amp mark. At half throttle, I could fly it for about 2.5 hrs! This is a 30% improvement over the nearest cell in weight that I could find, the Tanic 2100 2S.
The 50C charge rate is mind-blowing though! It would take 150 amps to charge the above pack at the 50C rate. It would be done in under 2 minutes. Not even long enough to take a leak. I'm betting there are some heating/fire issues at that rate. I also would bet that 50C rate is not with 100 sheets stacked on top of each other either. But even a 5C charge rate would cut the charge time to 12 minutes at 15 amps. It's still beyond any Li-Po/Ion charger of which I am aware. It gets more possible with smaller packs though.
If you take into account the "unlimited" number of recharges (over 70,000)and the very low self discharge rate (1% per year), it would seem ideal for RC. This material must be really expensive not to have made it to our neck of the woods yet.
