EDF Motor for 64mm fan unit using 4S???
I ran my Exceed RC 5000kv motor in my G&C Mini F-16 w/64mm fan...The motor smoked on the first flight.....What motor can I run on 4S with this fan unit??? I'm running a 30-40C 1600 mAh 4S Turnigy battery pack...The motor I need must have a 3mm shaft...Would a lower kv rating motor work???...Please help ASAP as I want to get this back in the iar quickly...The wife gave this to me for a get well gift and is miffed that it's non-flyable after the first flight...Please include all necessary spcs with your recommendations as I'm new to the EDF aspect of the hobby..
By the way..This plane was SMOKIN' FAST (pardon the pun) with this motor and pack!!!

Considering your small 1600 mah battery I'd suggest a the KD450H from Hobbycity, 3200 kv. On 4S 2200 pack in a 65mm Wattage fan it pulls about 30 amps and 400 watts, on your smaller pack I think a bit less. I usually go for a lower than average amp draw that I see on here, I'm not trying to break any speed records!
