Seawind parkflyer ( plan and model)

Hi everyone!

I have got a opportunity to share my design's plan by Icon_A5 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1211295
That is my'second bird, my first project is The Seawind, and today I wanna share with you :

Seawind come with 2 option:
- wing can remove :http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UPB59JWK (PDF file)
- fix wing : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O41YCBOP (PDF file)
- Assemble drawing : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O41YCBOP

The Seawind with wing can remove is a plan delivery because I must ship this airplane for my friend. If don't like to transport , fix wing is a better choice.

there are some spec and imagine of her:

Spec:
Wing span: 1000mm
Length: 890 mm
Weight RTF:520-550 gram
Wing area: 16 sq.dm
Wing loading: 32,5-34,4 gram/sq.dm

Electric:
- Motor 1400kv + prop APC 8x6 or Motor 2200kv + prop 5030x3
- ESC 25-35A
- Battery: 1500 -1800mah
- Futaba 10c with ASSAN module

Control:
- Ailerons
- Elevetor
- Rudder

Some pic of real plane: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUETk...eature=related

and model:

and she fly

I'll post step by step contruction and more clip late!

Very clean and relatively easy build, that prop looks a bit small though and the mounting is big enough to obscure a lot of air flow, can you try something bigger?

thanks for your idea!
you can fly with 2200kv motor and 5030x30 prop, I had been fly with them! but it is not a best setup because the out put just 80-85%( I think) cause the necelle scale (don't have the nose of prop)

If you are pay attention seawind fly image. you can see longer prop because I use 1400kv with APC 8X6, a litter bit slower but she fly ok!

kylevn ... any chance you could provide a pdf (if/when you get time). I cannot open the DWG with anything I have.
I fly the Seawind EP but find it a little fast for my aged reflexes but yours has only about 2/3 the wing loading - which will be more comfortable for my internal CPU. ... Bob

there are some image:

printed the plan:

start with vertical tail:

Finish but not yet sanding

the second is main fuselage

Two side of the main fuselage ,

nacelle:

use heat gun to bend the bottom nacelle fix with nearly vertical tail

Sanding the vertical tail :

install bottom nacelle plane and try to fix with main fuselage

After glue servo with 50cm wire:

The plane is very easy to build because everything can fix together with the support of dap!

Great looking plane Nguyen! This would be fun to build and fly!

Can you post a video of it flying from and landing on water?

I thinks so, they are the same structure ! I like the Polaris of Steve Shumate so much! that is a perfect plan.

Looks great, I have a scratch polaris, this also looks very interesting!!

It looks like no camber in the wing, can I ask why? Would you think an airofoil whin would be beneficial?

Regards,
Kim

@Kim:

My first Seawind is a wing with airfoil and hieral, but I can't feel the different between them ???
Maybe some mistake from me! I'll try to correct and test again!
