Best and Lightest Lipo batteries.

I am searching for the Lightest lipo batteries, 3cell 3300mah - 4000mah
There are so many brands of batteries, so i don't know what to pick.
The lighter the better
Any tips?

Agreed, ThunderPower ProLites continue to have about the highest energy density of any cells on the market, if that's what you are trying to optimize, at the slight expense of max. C rate. Hyperion CX are also good bang for the buck and represent a good balance of power and capacity.

You also pay a huge premium in cost. The zippys have gotten great reviews - I've used them as well and love them. The blue lipos are also getting good initial reviews, but longevity is unknown. Still, most agree that you can get the same performance for about 25% of the cost

Funny guy... so you speak for "most" people, do you?

Go read the Hyperion G3 threads... "most" of those people don't agree. CX's are the best battery I've every bought so far and I've used Zippy's too. I'm speaking from my own experience. Great bang for the buck in my opinion when you consider the total number of cycles you get out of them, their 5C charge rate and consistent performance.

Also, at my field many previous Zippy owners are switching to G3's. Especially the heli flyers. Proof is in the using...

Show my where I can get G3 performance (IR, 5C charge rate, proven cycle longevity) at 25% of the cost... I'd like to know.

Really ?

TP1350-3SPL2 11.1V 1350 27.0A 54.0A 66.0 x 34.0 x 20.0 94g NO Stock $34.99

3S 1320 ProLite for $35 and free shipping. Sorry but they are out of stock at the moment.

A Blue 20C 1300 cost $15 shipped so once again I fail to see the 3 or 4 X price differnce and my experince says that cost per flight will be less with the Thunder Power.

Everydayflyer,

I think flopp was looking for 3000-4000 mah and not 1320.

BTW, I agree with everyone else that if you're looking for the best energy density the TP ProLites are the best in that regard.

But I do not have any 3300 to 4000 Blue LiPolys so did not wish to make such a comparison.

Main point is that Thunder Powers and yes the Hyperion G3 series are LiPolys which perform for hundreds and hundreds of cycles if treated well. I have a TP Pro Power 45 3S 2250 with over 300 cycles that is as new and also a Hyperion G3 CX 3S 3300 with 255 cycles which is just beginning to show a very slight drop in performance near the end of a normal flight.

I used TP, but they are expensive, overrated and most are in my trash now.

I would go for Hyperion or the newer brands that deliver, Turnigy or Rhino.
They deliver quality for a good price.

Not the best

Hi,

Uploaded a picture of packs that are in my trash.
They did cost big money.
TP did replace a few packs, but it cost me big money in shipping as well.
Last 3850 3s pack I receiced is also in decay stage............

Charles "claims" that TP is the best out there.
But I can proof that they also made "eXtreme low quality" packs.

Untill now my Rhino and Turnigy do much better in my hangar!!!

Charles did lost "all" his credits for me, because at that time he also claimed that TP was the best.
He even has the guts to say that "eXtreme packs" where wrongly marketed!!
Shame on you Charles.

Keep in mind Charles that we do not get our packs for free like you do!!!!
We have to pay for them.

You are free to advice any brand you like. But do not lie. They are for sure, not the best.

Charles,
You realy think that RC pilots are idiots?
That we believe this?

LoL

I think that Hyperion is much more clever then TP. They have a fair price and "at least" the same quality as TP.
I never tried these Hyperions, but hear good things about them.
If they would be available at the local shop, for sure I would try.

But also at the local shop here, they still think that they can charge Euro 59-- for a 2200 3s pack.
These days are over....

TP is also an option, but I am the last one to advice you these packs.
I did spend allot of money on them and their quality was by far not what they did promise.
So on subject TP I am as baised as Charles.

It depends also on how much AMPs you draw.
20C packs are lighter then any 35C or 45C pack.
success

Not all of them ,but some yes and some have very poor reading comprehension .

I do not post made up suff. I have a 5 year history here on RC Groups of posting accurate information. I use test instruments to gather data that I post. Not just well these sure do better for 20 sec. on the ground or my plane flys faster now.

I do not test and post only about Thunder Power . All one has to do is look in mt section of the Battery Graph Vault here on RC Groups and see that I have tested E Flites, E power,Tanic, Kokams, SMCs,TPs,Hyperions, and many othger brands of LiPolys.

Sorry if you truely can not understand what I have posted about the old TP Extrem Series which is now about as reveleant as the old E tech or old Kokam or old Tanic series is now.

If you can not see that $35 is not 4 times as much as $15 then I can not help you.

If you do not believe the $35 price for a TP PL 3S1320 with free shippoing then go to rclipos.com

http://www.rclipos.com/ThunderPowerProlite.htm

My section of the Battery Graph Vault

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...70&postcount=4

Helpful links at top. Battery test in chronogical order so most recent closest to bottom.

I challange anyone to take the time to check 10% of the data posted there and then state that I prsent anything other than the most accurate unbias data that I can.

Hi Charles,

For sure you think that you can fool us.

Well, for sure not me!! Anybody here at RCgroups can read all your post and find out this 'big red' line called "promoting TP".

Do you still sleep well??? Telling other RC pilots to spend 3times the price for a products???
You also promoted the "TP eXtreme packs and V2" once released? ALso as the "best packs arround".
Was it your money????? I had to pay myself for the packs you promoted....
Do you still sleep well???

I am already longer at this forum and found out that your are fully biased.
I understand your frustration that many RC pilots start using other brands. But maybe logic???

Anyhow, I can proof (see picture) that TP is not better then any other brand.
In fact, my Rhino and Turnigy let them turn pale!!!!

...there are more brands that "deliver"....and even better
Welcome to the real world

Once again you know not what you speak of.

TP Extreme cells wer tested by me years ago. I never promoted, purchased, used them in packs at all. Look in the BGC. There are cell test only no pack test no cycle life test etc.

The Extreme V2 Series is entirely different and I only started testing ,using ,posting about them less than a year ago as they are new ,not same as the opld Extreme series you keep running down.
