Alpha P-47 Thunderbolt: various prop sizes?

The recommended prop for the Alpha P-47 (and P-51) is the APC 9x6 Slowflyer, and this prop actually comes with the model when purchased in Europe -- as opposed to NO internal or power components when purchased in the U.S.

Using the suggested -- or provided -- power setup, a Speed 300/6v motor and 5:1 gearbox, how many modelers have tried other props? For instance, an APC 10x4.7.

Dave Lilley's recent E Zone review of the P-47 allows good observation of the APC 9x6. But that cowl is still pretty wide.

Comments and/or suggestions appreciated before I soon get my P-47 ready.

Hi Jim,

Perhaps you should have asked in the "Parkflyer" forum?! Jürgen

P.S.: Had a "hard time" finding Alfa under Alpha.
