May as well continue this with how to re-finish the parts, because that's what I'm planning today!
We'll need Windex, adhesion promoter spray (used for pre-coating vehicle bumpers with), masking tape, copper wire, wood skewers, paint. Pics coming in a bit... |

Nice autopsy and pics. It's a pity some of the shops and websites describe this as a 'toy' helicopter, when it's so obviously a well-engineered miniature flying machine.
If you haven't already got a paint scheme in mind, a 'tiger stripe' scheme would look good, I recall seeing a full-size US F-16 done like this and it looked great. Steve |

Hi Killbucket, I'm from Brazil, and bought my S107 2 weeks ago, It is cool. But, I want upgrade it. I think in put the mobile battery, put in below, for don't disestablish. My question is: the battery have 1200 mAh, this will burn the board?

I figured you bought a few more. That is the easiest way increase the flying time!
Can you read any of the markings on the parts on the pcb? |

Only the few seen in the pics.
More flying time wanted, get more copters. Much easier than playing engineer, and DEFINITELY spending more looking for the 'right combo' (it won't be the first or third try that works, trust me).. |

kb, referencing photo #6 in post #1 where you say "Pull the lower blade set and head off; it's a press-fit.", just how hard did you have to pull on the lower blade set to get it off?
I pulled as hard as I dared but couldn't get mine off. Does the shaft go through the drive gear? Bill |

Okay.
The problem was that the rotor head was loose on the shaft so I couldn't use that to twist with (that was the part I had to fix). Do you think the lower rotor head is glued to the shaft during initial assembly? Bill |
