Next attempt needs to be onto an EMPTY beer can. Consumption is first required of course!

Mike.
Why thank you ole Chap (pun intended )

The only bird I have I intend on marrying soon I was perusing the 1EUR shop for things I could land on when I found this bird ladder.

I need a tripod

Heli Pad

Here's my heli pad so far the top is made from 6mm Depron and underneath it is a tin covered in CF vinyl. Also I added an EL panel underneath the H so it lights up.

Eventually Im going to add 4 lights, 1 in each corner pointing towards the H.

What do you guys think?

Is the control arm centered?

Can you coax it to move with your finger spinning the spur gear?

Take the spur gear off, and power up the RX, the servo motor should spin regardless of stick input.

I can sell you some second hand mcx2 servos for next to nix, you'll need to solder them in though. Better yet take it back to your LHS and swap it for another one. If you cant solder, or your LHS wont accept the return, you can send the brick to me and I'll fix it for again next to nix. postage to and from the UK to Germany takes circa 1 week, so I could have it back to you in 2 weeks

EDIT: Or you could send me the entire heli and I'll add my last tail boom to it, reverse the battery orientation, add rubber bands to the control rods, mechanically trim it to perfection and of course fix the servo I can even add dual spotlights too Cost will vary depending on what you want done, but it will be very fair even if you want to go the whole hog

It will look more or less like my one when Im finished, with the exception of the boom mounted spotlight (and of course it will fly not like my one in this vid ):
Hi Valiant. Sorry for my delay in posting - been to busy to look at my heli. Had a little time this morning though and I found out what the problem was. The ELE servo had shunted down a mm or so. Enough for the tiny cog to disengage. I moved it back into position and my heli is now working again!

Thank you for your help and thank you for your very kind offer to fix it for me - much appreciated.

@ Doomsday - thanks for your help too. Although what you described wasn't the cause of my heli's problem, it is something I now know to look out for in future

Hooray for fun MCX2 landing tricks!

Here's another one. What about search&rescue or salvage&recovery missions? Have you guys seen this little toy?

http://www.boomtownhobbies.com/Heli_...0_p/bth012.htm

Attach it to the skids of your MCX2 and then practice snagging the little targets with it. It's a lot more challenging that it looks.

I've tried it with my Blade Rescue Tandem and that's quite a chore.

I actually have that set. Mine is all one color as I got to be one of the lucky folks to beta test it back when it first came out. It is very challenging especially when you get down to the smaller ones.
