Hey Chomp, you didn't know North and I are rotary nuts eh Welcome to the thread. You'll have a lot of nice easy flying fun with this sucker especially when outdoor flight is impossible (with your plane) Just a little first time FYI. Don't stick the batteries in too far. They will jam the servos

Mike.

Interesting. What makes it different from the CX2?

Don't like the new design, unfortunately. I guess you could put a CX2 fuse and skids on it.

3s lipo
rubbervcoated blades
new body
pre installed navi lights

there's probably more but I'm not really familiar with either model.

They should have made it flybarless and incorporated AS3X. Could you imagine an AS3X equipped CX It would be rock solid in hovers.

For the mCX3/4 I'd like to see the following
Flybarless
AS3X
2x 8mm BL motors
1s
More scale navi lights, similar to the ones that I made.

plus...

An open channel for future mods, for example:
an apache body with launching plastic missiles
the infrared combat system
Rescue body and winch
spotlight on a remote switch
FPV setup
etc...

As long as it behaved like the as3x in the mcpx and not the msrx... I skipped the msrx after reading all the quirky as3x stuff that went down with it when it was released (that and premature motor failures)

hey there 49 youre all over the place on this forum haha.

i cant read this whole thread but since my blade scout is so much fun i think i want to go the next step up to the mcx2. i just have a question. i was looking at the specs at hobbyzone and i see the mcx2 uses the same batteries, and same battery charger as the hobbyzone champ which i own.

so i was wondering if i could save myself $30 and buy the bind and fly mcx2 version and use with the champ stock transmitter with the mcx2?

I'm pretty sure I bound my Champ Tx to my mcx2 a couple of months ago when we were discussing what binds to what somewhere in one of the threads. I can go test it for you in a bit if you want. Are you keeping the Super cub? ... 'cause the DX4e will be even better with the mcx2... that youtube vid of me flying the mcx2 outdoors last winter was with my DX4e before I got my 6i.

yeah can you test it? id rather save the $30 but im wondering why would the dx4e be better? the champ tx has trims.

i sent the cub back because the batteries would not fit no matter what i tried. im probably getting the gamma 370 instead

whats your youtube channel ill check it out

Ah, ok. Too bad, I'm sure we could have helped you make it work.

The Dx4e would be better because it isn't what we refer here to as a "toy" Tx like the Champ and Scout RTF ones. Although it isn't programmable like the 6i, it is full range so you don't have to worry about staying within a couple hundred feet outdoors, the sticks are bigger and better feeling like a "real" Tx, and the toy Tx's are known to glitch once in a while even when in range.

But stand by, I need to do a couple of things first and I'll do the bind test.

By the way, I was looking at a google map of my flying area out back and I see now that was flying my mcx2 with the DX4e probably more like 400ft away rather than the 2-300 I mentioned in the video description

brady,

the Champ Tx actually is the MLP4DSM which is the same one the RTF mcx2 comes with.

You can also verify Bind N Fly product compatibility on this page... scroll down to the chart, the Tx in question is the 3rd one from the left across the top of the chart...
http://bindnfly.com/compatibleProducts/

I also just tested my Champ's MLP4DSM and it's still bound to my mcx2 from the last time I tested this

But you can see where a better full range Tx would be a good investment... once you have one you can just buy Bind N Fly version of your vehicles from then on. It doesn't even have to be the DX6i if you don't want to make that investment... the 4e and 5e are full range, have a hidden EXP setting you can activate, and will be compatible with alot for future purchases... you can see which ones by viewing that chart I just linked you to.

EDIT

Brady,

oops, that might not be the Tx that came with my Champ... stand by... I think it came with something else... my Champ Tx is probably still in the box which I can't get at until tomorrow. I have too many of these things... that's what you want to try to avoid

The 5th one in on that chart, the "hobbyzone" transmitter, does say it's compatible though. In fact, the mcx2 is compatible with every single Tx on that chart!

sent you a pm, bro.
