Are these at all durable? Do you reinforce them in anyway? I wonder about making one out of thin lexan and then heating it with hot/warm air and bending it to shape? Might try it, but thought probably someone has to have already tried?

What you could do/try, is use the printouts Jake supplied. Print, them cut them out. Buy one of those plastic file folders found in the stationary section in just about any store. The front cover maybe a bit thick and colored but the back clear page maybe thinner if I recall. Simply trace the paper cutout onto the plastic folder. I did something similar on my V4 using these plastic folders.

Mike.

I printed them on photo paper, carefully cut them out, put holes for the frame, and a little pinch on the bottom of the canopy and it fits perfect.

Hey guys.
I still fly my original mcx when I want to sit on the couch and relax :-) My 9 year old son has been flying it quite a bit though and recently I have been thinking it would be fun to have a 2nd one to mess around with. Are there really any differences between the original yellow one and the new one?

Blade mcx - kinda boring

Blade mcx2 - cool nav lights, sleek body, stronger motors.

Yeah, you definitely want a MCX2 if you want a 2nd one. It's a lot faster and more fun.

I put a one gram weight in the nose, and programmed some "extreme" settings into my DX6i, the settings are posted in this thread. It can really get moving! I love flying mine in my basement family room, and it's bigger brother the MCX Tandem. Fun stuff.
Somebody posted about it before, but that Nutella commercial where the kid just dumps his MCX2 on the floor? Spoiled rotten kid!!! LOL

Ok. thanks guys. The physical changes are obvious so I was really hoping you all would tell me that it was stronger, faster, etc. Cool. Thanks.

That is so weird as today is the first time I have been able to log on in ages because of college and I still have that problem with my mCX2 and need more advice lol

If you remember I was having issues with my lower blade grinding on the motor gear. Well I took the canopy apart and the gear spins freely on its own and so does the blade. Just not together. I have tried moving the motor but everything looks in place. I have checked for grit and stuff.

How's everyone doing?
