Eh, I ordered one against my better judgment out of curiosity. Maybe I'll do a review of the mCX verses the mCX2. My mCX collects dust these days, so I'm not really expecting the mCX2 to be much better. We'll see...

If on a scale one would have the MCX at one end and the MSR at the other end, the mCX2 would be closer to the MSR end for performance and fun flying abilities. Itís very easy to hover hands off yet will scoot if told to do so. Tail seems to hold rock solid. Again, a very good upgrade for the MCX series.

Nice to read that. I'm more intrigued by these tiny 4-channels than the bigger ones.
Also nice to know, is that quality and durability are increasing with new models.
"Hobby grade" may just stop meaning "fragile" soon...

The only fragile part on my S300 is the mini rotor and tail skid. The rest tends to hold up extremely well to my bad judgement while flying in confined spaces. I did my own mSR swash conversion (I could never find any pictures of "how-to-do-it") and the performance is nothing short of spectacular compared to before. The guys at the shop have stated that my stock S300 was faster than any standard mCX they have seen, but I have never done side by side speed comparisons. I may pick up the BnF version of the mCX2 just to have one in the fleet. I can't believe how many I have now.

Yes, I have been flying the mCX2 a little bit. To get it to move, add a little power before moving the stick. The inherent stability of a MCX till remains if power is not used. I have not changed the swash sensitivity from the factory setting. Note that the flybar is shorter.

The new bodies look SO much better. The original, angular things in the background were half-finished looking to me.
And then the FreeBird toy copying the look didn't help...

I wonder if that new body is small enough to go onto an S107?

Got it!

I recieved my MCX2 today

It looks great, not toy like.. like the original MCX. Stuck a battery in it, bound it to my tx, took off, and wound up with my trims centered!!! Solid, and the led's look great!

Now I've got the best of both indoor worlds.. my MSR for larger spaces, and the MCX2 for my computer room.

I think it's Miller Time!!

Interesting, if you hold the heli in your hands at full power, the lower blades will soon slow to a stop. Let go, and everything works as it should.
Perhaps you were rotating your hand or body and encountering the heading lock characteristics of the gyro? (You can do this in either direction/rotor).

The mCX and mSR have long been known to be extremely durable. I own both and I've never had a single issue with them breaking - and both have been crashed many times hard. That's impressive when you understand how fast the mSR can go.

David, or anyone else from Horizon,
will the MCX2 motors fit into MCX or MCX Tandem? I understand they are more powerfull so they'd probably be able to give better lift?

Also, will the blades from MCX2 fit into MCX?
