HK450 Pro TT on the way

They are back in stock at Hobby King, so get them while they are hot.

Is there anything I need to replace with Align parts out of the box? I intend to take parts off an old TRex 450 to stick in this one. HS-65 servos, Align ESC and JGF 500TH motor.

Hey thank you for posting about this. I had disciplined myself to stop looking at the stock levels on the belt tail version and had missed the restock. Looks like they will be gone in a couple hours.

From what I have read, the only align parts that would really enhance the HK Pro out of the box is the Align fixed ball links. Be sure to order the ones for the PRO because the V2 will not work.

Yeah, I thought some people might want a heads up, but I wanted to make sure and order mine first.

You'll love it. Mine is completely stock and I couldn't believe how well balanced my blades were. That being said, I will probably replace my flybar paddles with the align ones as the flybar on the HK450 is a bit smaller than the Align and I also think the paddles are a bit heavy. But other than that mine flies extremely well as stock.

Is this the same as the HK-450MT? If not, what's the difference? Im thinking about building up a budget bird and am going to be purchasing parts as i can. Its either going to be one of these or an EXI450. I want an aluminum head and frame. Dont really care for carbon fiber frames...

Edit: I just found the heli ur talking about. I guess that answers my question but is the 450MT a cnc head? Thanks

It is not the same as the MT. The MT is similar to the TRex 450 SA it looks like, with the aluminum frames. It is also belt drive. The head does appear to be all metal.

Grrrr... I just looked on the Hobby King website, they are now sold out of 450 Pros and my order still shows "processing". They better not be...

If you look at your order details it should say "Reserved" next to HK450TTPRO. If that is the case then you have nothing to worry about I think.

belt is more robust, will need some adjustment and is slightly less efficient - more friction

TT is more efficient, won't slacken with use like a belt and will prolly get damaged in a crash (gear teeth shearing off etc) in ways that a belt won't

some say a TT tail is more accurate/responsive but i doubt this

TT tails are kind of trendy right now. I prefer belts. Way fewer issues.

That depends on what you do with them......I have less issues with the TT's than I ever had with the belts.

I very much prefer TT, they are much less trouble than belts.

ffrom HK: "2) If you opted for EMS Express shipping, it should take around 3 days to arrive in your country and possibly a day more to be delivered to your door. Air Parcel will take 7-45 days."

Damn did I blow it ? I chose the cheaper Air Parcel shipping... should I brace myself to wait 45 days ?
