Two tail motor scares in one day...SR
The first time the motor quit and I thought all my bragging that my motor was still going had jinxed me.
Autoed down sloppy but safe.
Turns out it was my work.
The solder joint on the tail motor had broken loose.
My solder job.Hmmmm...
Second time the motor quit about five packs later,I thought again, motor finally quit.
Autoed in sloppy and broke a skid.It was over concrete this time.
Gave it a little positive pump but still hit hard.
Autos are hard in a 1000 rpm piro.lol......
Guess what, the screws I put in to hold the motor to the boom were both gone.
Did I tighten them?Hmmm...Thought I did but looks like my work failed again.lol....
Am I getting sloppy or what....
Took the screws out of my other motor, replaced them in the tail motor, removed the main blades and spooled it up in my hand.Motor is fine.
No spare skids though.Dang!!!
I'll try some 450 skids later.
